More than 40% of energy consumption in Europe is generated by buildings, of which almost 75% is characterized by low energy efficiency. Do buildings with high energy efficiency guarantee lower fees? Is the certified facility cheaper to operate? What really lies under the name “operating costs” and how do the users of the facility have them? Answers to these and  many other questions will be the subject of the second edition of the conference 21st Century Offices .

The conference will already take place May 16, 2017 at the Westin Hotel in Warsaw . The speakers will include representatives of developers, property managers, lawyers, academia. The conference will consist of three discussion panels, preceded by presentations, whose experts will raise issues regarding energy consumption in office buildings, operating costs and the possibilities of reducing them, as well as expectations for space for tenants. The starting point for the discussion is the report “Energy consumption in  office buildings”  developed by three companies: Skanska – office building developer, Go4Energy – environmental certification consultants and property managers – Cushman  Wakefield.

Discussion of the study will be an ideal start to discuss the growing interest and awareness of the market in the subject of certification, the costs associated with & nbsp; office buildings and building user role. The conclusions accompanying the report indicate its significant impact on the amount of operating costs. In the Office Yin Yang discussion panel, options for reducing operating costs while maintaining a high-quality indoor environment in new and existing buildings will be explored. The issue of sustainable construction and new technologies will not be lacking here. However, the Tenant dictates terms panel will discuss tenants’ expectations of office space.

The conference will be an ideal platform for exchanging views on the future of office buildings in Poland, and the participation of specialists guarantees a high level of meeting and substantive discussion, to which the organizer – National Association for the Support of Sustainable Construction
